AUDI INTRODUCTION:

Audi's motto in German, "Vorsprung durch Technik," translates into "Advancement through Technology." This motto rings especially true for the two cars featured in GT3: the S4 and TT - both of which encapsulate the 102-year-old German carmaker's excellent, racing pedigree.

AUDI TT 1.8T QUATTRO:

Since the debut of its prototype in 1995, the TT has attracted attention with its novel design and has become a hot topic of conversation for the 20th century after its commercial introduction in 1998. The style is a futuristic portent suggesting the future of Audi design in the 21st century. By aggressively including and combining circular lines, the styling is bursting with individuality. The interior also uses plenty of aluminum elements and the like, achieving the atmosphere of a sports model while also giving expression to the 21st century. The premium engine offering is a 1.8-liter staight-4 DOHC turbo but with the turbine modified and equipped with an intercooler to generate a maximum power of 225 bhp @ 5900 rpm and a maximum torque of 207 lb-ft @ 2200-5000 rpm, and comes with Quattro 4-wheel steering. The transmission mated to the engine is a 6-speed manual for the 225 ps version.

The chassis for this TT is the same one used for Audi's compact A3 model but shortened by 9 cm, and the radical new body is constructed atop. The TT comes as not only a coupe but also as a roadster, rivaling the SLK, Boxster, Z3 and others.
