The most important thing to remember for trying to set records on Complex String is that your car needs to hafve serious top-end speeds.
About 200 should work, as long as you can get it there reasonably quick (with some refined gear tuning).

Evaluation of the Turns:

Complex String's Track.jpg

The Straight & Turn 1: Whether, you're in a fast car or not, braking comes early. Not all cars will be able to get up to 213 mph like this here 787B, stop on a dime, and then rip right out into the next turn. Use your judgement in conjuction with the turn makers to find the best place to hit ths brakes for your specific car.

Chicane Alley: Full throttle all the way through, unless you're in a supercar. A faster car needs substanial braking force to keep them in line with rolling chicanes. Either that, or you can modulate the throttle.

Turn 11: Pop around this hairpin as you would any other, and try to stay out of the dirt to the outside. This is that very course stuff that has a habit of causing premature 180-degree spins if you get too close to it.

Right Angle Row: This section of track has no "secret" techniques. Take it slow, VERY slow. Depending on the speed and handling characterics of the car, you might be able to cross over the dirt and score a slightly better lap time. The only way to really master it is to time yourself during this part of the course alone with the Analyzer.

Turns 18 & 19:  Turn 18 starts off wide (140 degress), but quickly morphs into Turn 19 and becomes very sharp (about 100 degress). As such, the standard "slow in, fast out" technique needs to be adjustment upward a bit.

"The Snake:" This is the worst and most time-consuming part of the track, and there's not much you can do but take it slow. The best tip for this entire section is to always ride the inside, and use thee curb markers for extra traction.

Corkscrew Lane: Keep your speed moderate, and your wheels completely turned as far as they can go when running these chicanes. The vertical variation will throw your car's center of gravity off by quite a bit, so prepare to countersteer.

Turn 35: Marking an end to Corkscrew Lane, Turn 35 needs to be taken with a considerable amount of exit speed. You see, Turn 35 is the main setup for the fastest part of this course, so if you screw it up, your times will suffer.

Turn 38: Most of the time, chicanes are put in to slow down the speed cars on the racetrack. And most of the time, they work. However, since there are no walls or barriers that can stop you from whipping past the dirt in between the two corners, we found it best to aim for a straight shot cutting directly through the corner.

Turns 39 & 40: This is another one of those that starts off wide and gets progressively sharper. Feather your throttle (keeping the car where it needs to be) and ride the inside red-and white curb marker for best results.
