Peugeot:
The France-based company dates back to 1810, making coffee mills and laminated steel. However, transportation
quickly became the company's focus, as bicycles gave way to mass-produced cars. In the context of GT3, the era from 1980 onward
proves most relevant - as this was when Peugeot introduced the 205 and 206 compact car series. This latter model proved a success,
not only as a consumer vehicle but also as a rally car.
PEUGEOT 206 S16:
This new generation of compact has a large number of variations, and among them the model called the S16 has
the sportiest personality. The styling of this S16 may seem to be unchanged from other models in the 206 series, but in fact its
fenders are slightly wider so that it is able to handle wider tires.
The powerplant is an inline 4-cyclinder DOHC with a displacement of 2.0 liters generating a maximum power of
137 hp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 19.8 kg-m @ 4000 rpm. The transmission is a 6-speed manual and it is front-wheel drive.
Fitting for a new-generation model, the chassis achieves the next level of both maneuverability and stability. The suspension is a
combination of struts in front and trailing arms in the rear, and while this is unchanged from that of the 106 or 306 up until now,
being merely mounted to a high-rigidity body gives it even more graceful movement. Ventilated disk brakes are used in front with
disk brakes in the rear.

PEUGEOT'S GT3 LINEUP:
The 206 S16 is a great car to buy and subsequently race early on in the game. There are several inexpensive
mods that you can do to bring it up to one of the best power to weight ratios in its class. The reputation following the 206-rally
car speaks for itself, and it performs as well as it looks out on the racetrack.
